This project was the a rollecoaster. The work I did was affecting kamehameha schools for the better and my project will be seen in the future. The work was hard and unending and I had so much anxiety. I wrote a good 18 pages of text for this project including blogpost, reports, and the presentation. Overall, if I could go back in time and give myself advice, Iʻd say to work more. Do not rely on others to do small things because everyone lets you down, you can only rely on you. Our group was pretty cohesive and worked together well. We arent like other groups that are all over-achievers and did everything perfect (kamaile) but we worked together well. The marshmellow challenge was fun and was a good example of how to carry ourselves through this project. One gripe for the blogs is the daily blogs and minimum word count. Daily blogs are good but not when we do nothing and are forced to post cannon fodder for 100 words. Furthermore, the one hundred word made it so that concise post must be stretched out to meet standards. This project was good tho, 10 out of 10 would do again better.

In class today, we practiced our presentation and made sure it would meet the time requirements. We are relieved that we finally completed this assigned and it is running smoothly but nervous to present later on tonight. The goal is to talk slow and make sure we cover all the main points. Wish us luck!!
For the most part, Malama Honua was really chill. The learning trips were really fun and allowed us to get out of the classroom to do hands on learning. Although this class became really stressful in the last few weeks, it taught me that I could persevere though the hard challenges in life and with the help of others, I could get anything done. Over the course of the year, I learned about teamwork because without working together and moving as a group, the work would have never gotten done. I met a lot of people throughout this year and really enjoyed the memories that were made from the learning trips and just having class conversations. I would advise the underclassman to take this course because it’s another way to learn about our keeping our culture thriving. Not only keeping our culture alive but the importance of being more sustainable for the land and the people who walk it. Mr. Blake is a great mentor and teacher that I got to learn a lot from. His sarcastic but knowledgeable responses will always be remembered and the life lessons he taught me will always be a part of me. Thank you, Mr. Blake, for a great year and best wishes to you on your future endeavors.
Our presentation is done, data collection is done, our written review is done. Peer evaluations are not done but will be done. Blog post for this website are done. Huieono did our best to change Kamehameha for the better and in the end, the best is really all we could do. There is a bitter sweet taste in my mouth, this project was a fun task for huieono to do but it was also one of the hardest things weʻve done for this school. Our presentation went, every member spoke with intelligibility, the visual aid to the project was a big success and really enhanced the presentation. Since this is the last blog post, Huieono will be signing off for now. This is "Ya boy" signing off, A Hui Hou, Aloha.
Tomorrow is the day to finalize everything. We used class today for organizing the order and implementing the last details. We are managing our time wisely because if we do not this will be a disaster. The stress is slowly become less but there is much more work to do. We are close to finishing and we cannot wait to present.
It is crunch time, with our presentation soon approaching. Finding the time to get everything done is very stressful, late nights and last minute adjustments are being made. Figuring out the importance information to present is the main objective right now, only using class time to work on this project. We will get it done.
With the presentation in a few days, we are scrambling to finish the project. We just submitted our draft write-up and are currently focusing on completing the powerpoint. This week is very stressful but we will get through it. Tune in later in the week to see how the presentation went.
This Friday is the day we have all been waiting for. We been recording, researching and this Friday is the day we get to present that to people and this can be exiting. We should be done with data, and now we are going to average and do some extreme researching to find that our data is substantial to the point to present to people. We are on the home stretch to this and we can’t wait to be done with this. As the last week of school, we hope to be productive and utilize our time well. Okay Shoots.
After taking Saturday off, we are back and ready to finish strong. This week will consist of finalizing our data and information. We know this week will be crazy and we are ready to finish. We will record last minute data, finish our draft write-up and prepare to present our project to the world. IMUA HUIEONO!!
Today in class, we got a reality check, due to the lack of knowledgable blog post, our group presented. With that being said, we are now focusing on finalizing our numbers so that we are ready to present our final project next Friday. We have a lot of work to due, in order for us to be ready to present to our peers but we will get it done. As the weekend is approaching, we will take some time off and get ready for the final lap of our project journey come next week.
